Employee’s Perception of Voicing: Does the Organization Really Provide Voice Channels?

This study aims to explore the employee voice in organizations based on channel chosen. 151 employees from various companies Indonesia who volunteered be involved this research (43,7% Male, 56,3% Female; 17,9% secondary-diploma, 59.6% Bachelor, 22,5% Master; Mean age=30,41, SD=7,68) answered open questionnaire. Questionnaires are distributed through social media and instant messaging applications. Respondents' answers were recorded coded using qualitative software Atlas.ti 8.4.4 student version. The code is combined into main theme, which then mapped according objectives. Based employee perceptions, company has provided 65.69% formal channels 32.85% informal channels. While employees choose use 49.8% 43.3% give suggestions; 51.1% and 43% convey ideas; 47.5% 43.5% information. Interestingly 32.4% 44.3% concerns. concern everything that harms function of work units organizations. Hence, prefer convey it an situation such as meetings outside working hours, directly meet leaders, gathering events. Another fact although organization a channel, only 38.7% companies very open voices, 22% somewhat open, 25.3% sometimes 11.3% less 4% not open. These results indicate employees' perceptions voicing vary considerably.
